Will Call Clerk/Forklift Driver
Career Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and pull products from shelves and pallets, ensuring all items are free from damage before use or loading
Pull, pack, label, and stage will call orders for customer pickup in a timely and organized manner, ensuring accuracy and readiness for release
Pack item kits in accordance with specifications provided by the customer or company
Greet customers upon arrival and confirm identify and order details before releasing orders
Direct all incoming containers to dock doors, locking air hose, and ensuring freight bills are signed
Ensure all customers and delivery drivers sign in and out when picking up or dropping off product
Load and unload shipments and place shipments on racking systems
Check the freight sign-in log sheet to verify you are loading the correct truck
Conduct checks and balance, ensure proper paperwork and pro numbers are correct before loading containers
After loading is complete, take a photo of the loaded truck or container before it departs
Ensure all containers are securely locked prior to loading, and verify pallet count inside the truck before departure
Confirm that all freight bills are correctly signed and dated before the driver leaves, and ensure they are faxed/scanned promptly
Receive and process inbound and outbound shipments by scanning invoices, reviewing packing slips, verifying details, and entering shipment data accurately
Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound packages and pallets, track will call orders including pickup dates and outstanding items, and ensure all orders are closed at the end of each month
Communicate with customers regarding order availability, pickup scheduling, and any issues or delays
Coordinate with various warehouse departments, sales, and customer service to resolve order concerns or special requests
Assist with the storage and organization of unclaimed or returned products
Safely operate material handling equipment, including pack mules, pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, stand up forklifts, and stand up reach, to move and deliver products throughout the warehouse while keeping pathways clear
Keep a clean work area and warehouse tidy, free of debris, and organized
Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Follow all safety protocols in compliance with department policies, as well as federal and state regulations
Understand and adhere to organizational and department policy and procedures while always maintaining professionalism
Participate in cross-training opportunities to develop additional skills as the company continues to grow
Assist in other warehouse duties as needed
Willing to learn other MHE equipment
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year sit-down forklift experience
Minimum 1 year customer service experience
Minimum 1 year will call experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
Fundamental proficiency in computer operations and common software applications
Basic data entry, excel, math, and recording abilities
Present a professional, neat appearance and demeanor; able to represent the company positively in customer interactions
High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse
Excellent verbal communication and customer interaction skills
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization
Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attendance at work and punctuality are an essential function of this position
Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, and work in hot or cold temperature
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
